We decided to head up to Tahoe for a couple of days during Winter Break to celebrate the new year. John found a cabin for rent and the whole family--us, John and Diane, the Barlows, and Uncle Scott and Aunt Kim--headed up, stopping at Scandia for some fun on the way.
The kids did a lot of this on New Year's Eve...

And then off to bed early while the adults watched the batman movie "Dark Night". Very good!
