Weekend in Lake Tahoe

(Thanks to Britt for this fabulous family photo! She's available for hire!)
It wasn't snowing up there last weekend like it is this weekend but it was beautiful nonetheless. Even though we were completely traveled out and really wanted to finally spend a weekend at home, we couldn't pass up an opportunity to go! We spent Friday up there with Grandma and Grandpa Blatter who had to leave Friday night and then the Callaways, who have never been, came up Friday night to spend Saturday with us.

Here's grandpa taking Owen for a ride...

Cute Grandma and Grandpa...
My handsome boys...

Owen, the daredevil...
The fam...

Grandma and Grandpa kissing on the bridge...

so romantic!
Then it was fun with the Callaways on Saturday...

We walked down to the lake from the condo to get a better view and have a snowball fight...

John won.
Then we went sledding and the hill wasn't huge but it was slick and bumpy and we had a lot of fun and got a lot of air...

Oh, how I love this boy!

My boys...

My girl...

Come on ride the train...ride the choo choo train...

Kiera was all glee and merriment! She was loving every second of it all!

This train went a bit wrong...

and I fell off my sled to avoid a tree.

Here's a nice little series for you...all one run. (the purple saucer is really fast and I was "flying"--yes, I'm aware of the exaggeration--over the bumps! To my credit, I do still feel it in my tailbone a week later)

Nice landing...Remind you of something?...stirrups please.
Here's cute John helping Alex practice snowboarding...

oops.

Thanks to the photographer Clay who had to sit out because of his gimpy knee.

Love this girl.
After some sore tailbones and cold hands we headed back to the condo for hot chocolate and a cozy fire. Fun times!
You can go to Britt's blog to see more pics and an awesome sledding video here.

That photo of you and Britt is SO CUTE!! I love it. I also LOVE the shot of your 3 boys on the sled. So fun, I'm bummed I missed it. Next time - as long as it's after July :)

I missed this entry earlier - how fun (and what great pictures and video, Britt and Clay!). You all look so cute bundled up in your winter gear, with your rosy cheeks and big smiles. What a blast!! Annie, I'm glad you survived the ride on the purple saucer, which from all appearances was definitely not for the faint of heart.
