We met up with all the Blatters at a beautiful beach called Sand Harbor for several days of fun. John's dad has 6 siblings, all with like 6 kids, and those kids have kids and even some of those kids have kids...(4 generations were represented in some of the families!) so it becomes a heck of a lot of Blatters! It was, however, the smallest representation ever this year, which was still huge! (We're attributing it to horrendous, exorbitant gas prices and air fare!)
Sand Harbor has these great boulders seemingly hand-strewn everywhere with little nooks and crannies and perfect crawdad fishing holes. There is beautiful sand and a boardwalk and a great pavilion rented exclusively for our family, which was great.
I'd like to say that my kids bonded with all of their other cousins that they never get to see but they kind of stuck around their bosom cousins, the Barlows, most of the time!
After the sun went down everything was grey and monochromatic and oh so striking! Aunt Kim took some great pics with the geese coming around to play...
I only had my camera for one day! I didn't even get to take pics of all the relatives! I'll post again when I get pictures from everyone else with cameras!!
We are glad we can add to the Blatter Progeny! It is a wonderful family with lots of love and friendship and gab and good food!! We love you all!

Annie, I work with the product Mederma and noted you stated in your blog that you used sunblock and Mederma on Owen's boo boo. We are pleased that you are using Mederma for Owen. I wanted to make sure you are aware that we have a new product which includes SPF30. The new Mederma Cream + SPF 30 provides the same therapeutic ingredients as original Mederma, but is now available in a moisture-rich cream formula that also offers protection from sun exposure, which can cause scar discoloration. If you go to www.mederma.com you can download a $3 coupon. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the product and I will be happy to answer.
oh wow. That comment is random. I on the other hand work with the product Jealous of Tahoe Trips(tm). It is a small lame product that will probably be taken off the shelves when we get our butts up there one of these times. So glad you guys are back.
I agree with Britt - oh wow. Imagine having Patti's job, and getting paid to read and comment on anything and everything that mentions Mederma. She sounds like a good friend.
It's great seeing the pictures and hearing about the Blatter Family Reunion. What a beautiful place, and what a super great family the Blatters are! Love you, Mom
I, too, want Patti's job!! I might just mention more products by name in my blog and see if I can't get more coupons!!
That looks like so much fun. We're going to Tahoe this week. Was that north shore or south?
North Shore, near Incline Village. I highly recommend it!
I love summer!!! What a fun trip and beautiful photos! I love seeing what you guys are up to. Maderma is a household name for us or should I say Colby. I am always trying to erase his little mishaps. Some are here for the long haul. Owen's looks like it will remedy quickly! Hopefully see you soon!:)
I love to read Britt's comments. I think we would get along. THe pics were great. I love the rocks! They are unbelievable. Our lazy fam. or more like crazy has not been camping once this summer!
random Patti,, that freaks me out! Weird.
Cute pics traveling family. I am not coming to CA. Gas prices are killer! Hopefully i will see you guys soon. I love th pic of you and Owen. Miss you girl.
We've been to that beach, so beautiful. Big family get togethers are so fun.
Annie -- Tahoe looks beautiful as do you children! One day we'll get up there! Always cute posts. One day I'll get there too. :)
