We had a Primary Activity to visit the temple on Saturday and it was such a wonderful event! We met at the church for breakfast and a little talk on temples and reverence, and then we headed over to the Oakland Temple.
We met at the Visitor's Center where the Sister Missionaries greeted us and reminded us of our Savior's love for us and the sacrifice that He made, and then the kids became official missionaries...
After that, they took us on a tour of the temple grounds which are always so beautiful.
The water was turned off so the kids thought it was especially cool that they could walk on the rocks.

The kids were supposed to write "Elder or Sister" and then their last name on their missionary tag. Jake wrote "Elder Super Mario Kart"
All of the Primary kids...
I am so thankful for temples and for the knowledge that my family can be together forever because John and I were sealed there. I am so thankful for the gospel and my wonderful family.
On the way home...
Hannah: "Mom, you and dad were married in the Oakland Temple, right?"
Me: "Yup. On August 15, 1998. Almost 10 years ago!"
Hannah: "I want to be married there someday, too!"
Jake: "Me too!"
Alex: "Me three!"
Me: (with a swollen heart and quivery voice) "That's right! Always remember that goal and never let anything get in the way!"

This is so sweet, Annie. What a great idea for a ward to do with the Primary children and their families. The Oakland Temple looks so beautiful - and your family is so beautiful, too! Love you all and can't wait to be with you this weekend. Love always, Mom
They look like future missionaries! All of them! I love this activity!
What a cute activity. I love to see the temple, too!
Thanks for putting those pictures up there. I felt bad that I couldn't go with Morgan, but was so glad Lisa took her.
Elder Super Mario Kart and all the other little missionaries look so official in their tags!
We're so sad we missed this activity...I hope they do this again for us slackers!
Ok that is the kind of day that makes everything feel right. You are at the right place at the right time with the right spirit and the right people! What an awesome outing. I love the conversation at the end.
