Scene Set-up: Riding bikes home from school.
Jake: "What a beautiful day! Good thing I picked out this outfit!"
Good thing!
(He was wearing the usually forbidden-for-Fall-thru-Winter shorts and a t-shirt. This kid would wear shorts and a t-shirt during a blizzard if I let him!)

Scene Set-up: Driving cute Mady Larson home after gymnastics class.
Me: "Oh Mady, I forgot to turn to go to your house. I guess I thought I was going to take you home with us!"
Jake: "I wish you had!" ...pause... "Did I just say that out loud?"
(a very crimson faced Jake... and Mady!)
