My favorite picture of the weekend...
Camping + Boating + the Hatches = One Fun Weekend
This was our get-up...
On Friday, we set up camp and then headed out on the lake.
On Saturday, we got up, ate pancakes, then headed out on the lake til the sun went down, then had s'mores of course, and camp-fire stories and songs. It was a beautiful place! Our first time. I borrowed my in-laws camera so I went a little crazy. Prepare for lots of photos...
Ryan and Rebekah Hatch and their 5 kids came with us and it was fabulous!
The kids were enthralled by the "Sucker Fish" a.k.a. carp at the dock...
Then it was time for tubing...
Owen was the captain...
Bear was the "flag man"...
Miss Georgia Peach...(I absolutely love this girl!)
Baby Ali...(so chill! Best 4 month old camper ever!)
Beautiful Rebekah...
Ryan and his baby girl...
The real captain...
The "Princess"... (I woke up with a bit of a kinked neck because my pillow--in my comfy camper bed--was a little too fluffy and Ryan asked "Did that pea under your mattress keep you up all night too miss Princess?") I totally deserved that one!
I couldn't get enough of all these cuties...
Alex...
Bear...
Jake and Claudia...
Hannah and Julia...
More Alex (he's just so cute!)...
Hannah Banana...
Jake...(he was such a little man on this trip. Helpful and kind and mature and so fun.)
Claudia...(I love this girl--she is beautiful and witty and funny and fun and we had a great time bonding!)
Little buddies...
forever friends...
We found some geese and the kids were thrilled. We threw them bread...
But Julia wanted to hand feed them and join their gander...
Then all the kids who wanted to got to knee-board...
Snack break lounging on the tube...(Rebekah and I had crackers and cookies and grapes and drinks and we lounged for nearly an hour while the kids' knee-boarded. Someone had to be in the water to help the little ones get going on the knee board. It was great.)
Here we are practicing our princess waves...
John wake surfed with each kid...
(I changed the lens after this shot so I wouldn't be so close up and I got some blurry pictures after that?? Anyone know why? They eventually cleared up.)
Owen begged to do it too!...
My boys, especially Jake, were in love with baby Ali and were always willing to help and hold her. It was heart-warming to see them so sweet...
More tubing...
Some air time...
We found a waterfall that the kid's named "Twin Falls Cove" and we stopped to explore and eat lunch...
It was so beautiful. The water was gorgeous and so clear. It was almost tropical!
Adults turn...
Go Ryan! No pics of me. Even Claudia got up!...
Bear found his favorite spot...
Lovely Rebekah. How do you look that good when you're camping??
The kids explored some red dirted cove...
Last tube run of the day...
Owen's awesome hair...
The view...
We are smitten Bullard's Bar. This may just have to become annual!
