saved the day! He dove in from the pier and got them from the bottom (like 25 feet??) on the first try! I've never been more thankful of the clear beautiful water of Tahoe, and of my brave wonderful (did I mention hot?) husband!

They don't quite work like they used to, but he sure does. (wink!)

Just call me "butta fingers".

I've been told (by many, mind you) that I need to add "Classic Annie" to this post.

I haven't any idea whatsoever what you might mean by that!! (insert Scarlet O'Hara shrug and flip of the hair! Hmph!)

Little Daredevil

It's no question that this kid gives me great joy...

He's quite cute with those big cheeks and he never ceases to amaze me.

Here he is contemplating a jump off of a 25 foot pier on Lake Tahoe with his daddy...

Hmmm...

Here goes daddy...

I think I'll try it...

Whaaat?? We didn't think he would flip!! John said, "Alex, did you plan on doing a flip?" and he replied, "No, not really. I just did it." with a shrug of the shoulders.

And I got to meet him...


That's Graham. They are my niece and nephew. Are they not to die for??
And they belong to my big brother Jon...

and his beautiful wife who came all the way from Denver to see us for a week! Bliss.
We mostly hung out in the backyard in the pool. Laying out and catching up while big kids swam and babies napped. Oh and Georgia learned how to swim with a vest. Yup. She rocks now, going all over the pool saying "I swim" in a very cute voice.
We also went out on the boat for a day...

And Uncle Scott came too.

Georgia was loving it! It was so fun to see her experience everything for the first time. She was such a daredevil reaching to put her hands in the water and standing up on the tube with the big kids. She is a joy!

Speaking of joys...This kid takes the cake. Ever jolly and happy and easy with these huge chocolatey brown eyes. I was pleased to meet him and I can't wait to see him again.

Farrah and I took the little kids to the beach while the men worked (my brother was on a business trip) and Jake was at Scout Camp and Hannah was in Tahoe early with Grandma and the Girls (More to come on that!). We went to a favorite spot of mine in Half Moon Bay right next to the Ritz Carlton...

It was fun to see Georgia put her feet in the sand for the first time (since she was months old, which doesn't really count!)...

I think my favorite part of the trip was watching the cousins interact and get to know each other. There was some serious cousin love. It was a great week and I miss them already.
